WBC

I got a call from the nurse early this morning saying that "one of my blood tests is abnormal". Apparently my white blood cell count is higher than normal. So, I either have a current infection or is coming down with one. Oh now!! this isn't supposed to happen. And I've been told to rest and try not to get sick. If I am still symptomatic by Monday, i will have to let them know coz the surgery will be recscheduled. So, I'm juicing more and drinking salabat (ginger tea - my sister's remedy) and the earache has actually disappeared. Yeah.

Ann visited me today and we went to lunch at Cosi. It was very delicious and filling. And afterwards, we went to Paper Source to browse and look for some ideas and inspiration. I had a very lovely time. Thanks Ann. Next time you come over, we'll actually have to MAKE cards :-)

I'm so sorry if this doesn't sound coherent. I'm falling asleep. Have a great night everyone.

  2. Are you allowed (by any regimen that you are currently in) to drink orange juice, or eat an orange? A slice of lemon in a glass of water (warm or cold) may also help you along the way. No honey, too sweet. Something as simple as that may help fend off the cold or keep it from getting worse.

  3. thanks Faith. They brought the lemons tonight :-) I do drink a warm glass of lemon first thing in the morning, mostly for general cleansing. I'm sure it helps. I also put lemon oil in my water. I've been drinking salabat all day.. the earache and the sore throat is gone, but I sneeze sometimes. I need to buy a new thermometer so I can take my temp. we missed you tonight... I'm feeling better, just tired.
