day of surgery

Here we were getting ready for the surgery.  This is a shot of glady getting ready to be registered.  Our friend and my boss Elder Ed Barnett came to comfort us with prayer and just to let us know he cared.  Thank you very much.  Here is Jen, telling Glady to sign her life away.  Then we took a shot together before she was wheeled out of her room to go to the Operating room at 6:45 A.M.  I'm still not sure what happened after that.  At first I was told that the surgery didn't start till 9.00 A.M., but since it ended at 6.55, I'm sure the surgery started at 7 A.M. as scheduled.  We are thankful for all our friends who were praying for us today.  It was the strength we needed.  Thank you all for your kind texts, messages, and acts of kindness to all of us.  Please know we truly appreciate everything you've done to show you care.  Over the next few days I'm sure I'll be able to talk to the surgeons to ask them specific questions.  I am so thankful for them and their expertise.  They have been great gifts to us.
