Countdown

So, inauguration starts the countdown to surgery day for me. A week from today, on the 27th is the big day.  Carol was so nice to take some time off her work schedule to take me to lunch, followed by a mani/pedi @ the spa. The ladies who did our nails were very nice.  We had such a lovely time and lunch was delicious.  Don't be nervous, I drank my juice and even put extra sprouts to make up for the cheese I had with my burrito ;-)  Thank you so very much for a wonderful time, Carol. It means alot to me that you took time out of your busy schedule to celebrate the countdown and help distract me :-) You're so awesome.

I still can't get rid of this cold, though, or is this a new one? Don't know. i just don't want to be sick. They strongly advise not getting sick before the surgery. I'm hoping to be able to go to the Wellness House in Hinsdale (a cancer support organization) sometime this week, before my surgery. I've called and they said just to come by if we can't make their scheduled orientation times.

Frendell's diligently trying to unpack the books for his office...  I  hope he'll get some sleep when I'm in the hospital. I asked him if he wanted me to cook some food and freeze it for him so he'll have some food while I'm there. He said No, he can prepare his own food. Good ole' Ramen noodle soup :-)  I hope he at least adds some veges  and some sprouts to it :-)  

I hope you're having a great week. I'm glad it's not below zero temps anymore. I'm also glad it snowed the other night. The sunshine is wonderful with all the pretty snow around. I hope it snows some more :-)
