Target

I didn't think it would get to the point that my blogs will be marked by the outings we took on that day :-)  today was a great day. After our production with the shower, which, according to Ats (when she was asked by Carol today) seems to be getting easier with time... we finally got ourselves ready to go to Target.

I didn't anticipate that I would get so tired, so easily. I used a cart for some support, but when Frendell told me he'd push it, I didn't resist either. It's difficult to walk around, as I cannot really stand up fully upright (since the incisions are all on the front and they keep me somewhat flexed) and when I try to stand up straighter, it pulls on my left side (back), like it's knotting there. It's hard to describe. I don't think I even went halfway around. Ats & I walked through produce (it's a super Target) and then looked in housewares for drinking glasses, since most of ours broke when we moved and then went to the register afterwards. That was the extent of my adventures at Target. I was trying not to run into people, with my cart or just bump into them... Most are very nice and let me have the right of way, but I did get several dirty looks when i couldn't quite figure out how to maneuver me and the cart to turn. So, when Frendell took the cart, I happily gave it to him :-)

When we arrived home, lo and behold, there was Carol, bearing some lovely fresh flowers and a homemade delicious banana cake with chocolate frosting.  All made from scratch.  It was so great to have Ats finally meet Carol, my sista from anotha motha here in Chicago. Carol just got done seeing some kids and she stopped by to visit and before she had to pick up Kevin from school. Carol, as always, makes me laugh and smile and her cake really touched that spot in my belly which was craving for something sweet :-)  Thanks Carol.  So if any of you want to try this delicious banana cake, hurry on over before I finish it all :-)

the weather here is very warm, no more snow left...  almost like it's  summer already. I hope it'll snow next week for when the kids get here.. both Christian and Kori have been telling me they want to make snow angels. Oh boy, today, it would have been in the mud.  I am excited to see them... but then, that would mean that Ats would be home then too... oh, why can't we just have cake and be all together in one happy place?

Have a great night everyone... I hope you all get some good sleep tonight.  I know I'm planning on it.. at least 2 - 4 hours :-)  see you tomorrow...
